Laser Hair Removal

How does laser hair removal work?

​

The Nd-Yag laser emits a monochromatic light which is directed onto the area of hair growth.  The melanin or colour of the hair acts as a chromophore, which is targeted by the laser.  When the laser light makes contact with the hair, it is converted to heat which is transferred down the hair shaft and into the bulb or root of the hair.  The hair shaft is then detached from the root, and sheds.  New hair cannot continue to grow once the bulb has been destroyed.

How many sessions will I need?

The average amount of treatments sessions is 8-12 at 

6 weeks apart
